First Lot Of Fall Planting if Fingerling Fish From Belgrade Hatcheries Arrives.
For planting in the waters of the island 40,000 fingerling salmon from the Belgrade Hatcheries were received here last week.  The first were sent by train to Ellsworth and from there the big cans were taken to the Lafayette National Park truck to Bar Harbor.  They were in charge of Horace Liscomb.
Each year the stocking of the Island's inland waters is carried on and the improvement which each year brings in fishing conditions here tells its own story as to the advantage of such work.
This years fish are unusually good and result's of this falls planting are sure to be excellent, according to the opinions of those fitted to judge.
