ONE OF THE HAZARDS OF MOVING IN 1899

ONE OF THE HAZARDS OF MOVING IN 1899

Zemro Hill met with quite a loss recently while moving to Harrington.  A large load of his household goods had nearly reached the top of Souls Hill, when the horses, unable to hold out, began slipping backwards.  By a strong effort they were cut clear, and the load went crashing down the icy hill (the worst in Eastern Maine), breaking the bridge rail and falling into the stream below.  A large part of the furniture was lost.
